Description:

There are several kinds of questions:

• those that ask for confirmation/denial of a proposition (whether),
• those that ask for the identification of an individual or set of things (who, what, where, when),
• those that ask for a reason or a proof (why).

In 9.1.1.10, 'question nominalization', SBVR only addresses the second. It should also address the first, and there is no reason why it could not also address the third.

Confirmation/denial (whether) questions look like proposition nominalizations, except that their meaning is a question.

Rationalization (why) questions look like proposition nominalizations, but they assert the proposition and have the meaning of asking for the rationalization for that state of affairs.

So both of these could be accomplished by subtypes of proposition nominalization that have the same structure but different meaning. And the assertion nominalization is the current kind of proposition nominalization.
