Summary:
The reference scheme for ‘reference scheme’ needs to consider characteristics used by the reference scheme, but it does not. This is necessary because a reference scheme that considers a characteristic is always different from one that does not.
Recommendation:
8.4 (pg. 29, bottom)
Add the following to the end of the “Reference Scheme:” paragraph for the ‘reference scheme’ entry:
and the set of each characteristic that is used by the reference scheme
The term style should be used for “characteristic” and “reference scheme”, the verb style for “is used by” and the keyword style for the rest.
