Disposition Summary:
Make the informal glossary in clause 4 consistent with the definitions in clause 11. Change the uses of the signifier 'vocabulary' so that the signifier is used only for its meaning defined in Clause 11. Add a fact type relating a vocabulary namespace to a vocabulary. Combine the undefined fact types 'vocabulary includes symbol' and 'vocabulary includes fact type form' into one fact type and give it a definition.
Note that the term "Vocabulary" used in the title of the document, "Semantics of Business Vocabulary and Business Rules" is consistent with the defined meaning of "vocabulary". The document is about the semantics of the designations and fact type forms in used in business and of the rules stated using them.
Annex E needs some further changes to be done as part of the EU-Rent Clean-up issue. First, Figure E.2 shows use of an undefined fact type 'speech community creates vocabulary'. Secondly, E.2.1.2 should follow the patterns used in Clauses 7 through 12 in how it specifies and names its vocabularies (for anything listed that is intended to be a vocabulary). The term 'vocabulary' should not be used for anything intended to be a dictionary, glossary or book. The name of a vocabulary should refer to the vocabulary presented by the document or publication, not to the document or publication itself. -
