Wrong purpose/definition

  • Key: ASCMM11-2
  • Status: open
  • Source: ISEP/IPP ( Alberto Sampaio)
  • Summary:

    It is stated
"The purpose of this specification is to establish a standard measure of Maintainability based on detecting violations of good architectural and coding practices that could result in unreliable operation such as outages, data corruption, and lengthy recovery from system failures. "
This is wrong because it is not about maintainability. It is just a copy from the purpose of "Automated Source Code Reliability Measure" specification (document formal/2016-01-03)

    Kind regards

Wrong quality characteristic measure name

  • Key: ASCMM11-1
  • Legacy Issue Number: 19854
  • Status: open
  • Source: Anonymous
  • Summary:

In the last part of the first paragraph of section 1.3, i.e., "This specification addresses one aspect of this problem by providing a specification for measuring one quality characteristic, Maintainability, from the source code. This specification is one of four specifying source code level measures of quality characteristics. The other three specify quality characteristic measures for Security, Performance Efficiency, and Maintainability." The last word should, I guess Reliability because Maintainability is the mentioned before and the foucs of the specification.
