    CustomAlgorithm which appears in many places in the schema should be a
    namereference to AlgorithmSet. To enforce the proper semantics the Ref should
    "name" which algorithm type it referes to such as "InputAlgorithmRef" or
    "InputOutputAlgorithmRef", etc...

    Major syntax change, but existing works

    Similar to other proposals to move alarms and calibrators to set, and then refer to them as needed similar to other things in the schema.

    The changes required are significant in nature and the existing works. There are no use cases presented by anyone that shows they cannot use the existing as is – even if they don't like it.
