XMI24 — Section 2.1 - delete

This clause contains what are, essentially, definitions of the terms “XMI Document” and “XMI Schema”, together with a sentence that does not obviously achieve what it claims to do. The subclause does not describe anything. Delete this clause 2.1, and include definitions of “XMI Document” and “XMI Schema” in clause 4.

Replace the second sentence in clause 2.1, which current reads:
“XMI Document” and “XMI Schema” are defined as documents and schemas
produced by the XMI production (document and XML schema) rules defined in this
specification.
with:
The terms “XMI Document” and “XMI Schema” are defined in Clause 4.
Replace 4, which current reads:
There are no formal definitions in this specification that are taken from other
documents.
with:
The following are the only terms defined in this standard. There are no other terms
used in this document with meanings that cannot be found in other standards.
[XMI Document] A document produced by the XMI production rules defined in
this specification.
[XMI Schema] A schema produced by the XMI production rules defined in this
specification.
