Summary:
Fig44 - NodeType. Don't see NodeType in here ! The concept has been used on a number of UK projects, so if it's not in UPDM it will be a problem for MOD. Remember, an OV-2 may contain several nodes of the same type. Each might be performing different operational activities. If we could start again with MODAF, we would get rid of NodeTypes. If you've got rid of the idea here, then it needs to be documented VERY clearly how a MODAF architecture with multiple nodes of the same type will map onto UPDM. I would suggest that a new UPDM:Node (Class) be created for every MODAF:Node(property).

Resolution POTENTIAL SOLUTION:MODAF::Node is equivalent to UPDM::NodeRole and MODAF::NodeType is equivalent to UPDM::Node. We should consider adding a MODAF mapping table or more aliases, as the name changes seem to have thrown some people. We will consult with the other architects, etc.
