Key: UPDM-690
-
Legacy Issue Number: 13738
-
Status: closed

Source: Model Futures Ltd. ( Ian Bailey)

Summary:
Summary Fig21 - SameAs. The SameAs trace in MODAF is for referring to external objects. The way it is used here, it can be used to say two things in the architecture are the same. This breaks a major design tenet in MODAF - Use Once, Re-Use Many Times. Redundancy must be prevented in architectural models. This needs fixing.

Document Issue UPDM (OMG Beta) Jan 2009
Source Ian BaileyModel Futuresian@modelfutures.comResolution This isn't clear in MODAF 1.2 so if we fix this in UPDM we should also raise an issue on MODAF.We'll change the metaConstraint so that the "supplier" role is constrained to ExternalType/ExternalIndividual instead of UPDMElement. The "client " role will stay constrained to UPDMElement.
