UPDM — General comparison

MODAF/ NAF are felt to be a more connected model than UPDM where no attempt is made to show all entities as a connected meta-model for different purposes. This makes UPDM much harder to assess.
MODAF/ NAF have a much clearer model of temporal components making it a lot easier to discuss how different parts of the model applies at different points in time.
The MODAF/ NAF use of UML: property ensures that several types of connections that UPDM defines based on associations are unnecessary in MODAF/ NAF.
