Change: IPv4Address_t and Port_t are not defined anywhere in the specification -
Reported: DDSI-RTPS 2.0b1 — Tue, 27 Dec 2011 05:00 GMT
-
Disposition: Resolved — DDSI-RTPS 2.3
-
Disposition Summary:
*Deprecate PIDs *
There are a number of PIDs for address and port fields that are no longer necessary or used since the information that they identify is sent in the form of a Locator, we are therefore deprecating these PIDs:
PID_MULTICAST_IPADDRESS
PID_DEFAULT_UNICAST_IPADDRESS
PID_DEFAULT_UNICAST_PORT
PID_METATRAFFIC_UNICAST_IPADDRESS
PID_METATRAFFIC_UNICAST_PORT
PID_METATRAFFIC_MULTICAST_IPADDRESS
PID_METATRAFFIC_MULTICAST_PORTPID_PARTICIPANT_BUILTIN_ENDPOINTS is also not used and will be deprecated. Implementations are using PID_BUILTIN_ENDPOINT_SET instead.
