Summary:
The current spec for local interfaces disallows making calls to a local
interface via the DII. It turns out that this is rather inconvenient
for implementors of scripting languages. That's because, for a scripting
language, everything is a DII request. Local interfaces, therefore, force
the implementor to wrap all pseudo-objects and local interfaces in
special wrapper objects. For pseudo-objects, there is nothing we can do. However, for local
interfaces, we could require DII calls to be supported. -
