CORBA24 — Semantics of DynAny with alias TypeCodes

    The CORBA 2.3 spec for DynAny makes no mention whatsoever of how it should
    handle Any values corresponding to TypeCodes whose kind is tk_alias.

    The implementation of (CORBA 2.2) DynAny in a popular free ORB strips off
    typecode aliases when it creates a DynAny. While this seems to be contrary to
    the overall intent of the DynAny spec, I can find nothing in the 2.2 or 2.3
    spec that definitively precludes this (IMO bogus) behaviour.
