The name of the model associations are: participantAssociatios and messageFlowAssociations (see Figure 9.33, p. 142; Table 9.1, p.111).

Then, it should say:
“A Collaboration uses participantAssociatios and messageFlowAssociations for this purpose.”

“ParticipantAssociations and MessageFlowAssociations” should be replaced by “participantAssociatios and messageFlowAssociations”
