BPMN21 — Page 72. Artifact incorrectly identified as a Flow Element

  • Key: BPMN21-181
  • Legacy Issue Number: 15578
  • Status: open
  • Source: craftware.net ( Eduardo Jara)
  • Summary:

    Table 8.23. Row “categorizedFlowElements”

    It says
“The FlowElements attribute identifies all of the elements (e.g., Events, Activities, Gateways, and Artifacts) that are within the boundaries of the Group.”

The name of the model association is “categorizedFlowElements”, not “FlowElements”.

Model Association “categorizedFlowElements” is of type “FlowElement”, but “Artifact” is not a “FlowElement” (see Figure 8.8, page 66; and Figure 8.22, page 87). So “Artifacts” cannot be examples of elements identified by “categorizedFlowElements”.

    Then, it should say
“The categorizedFlowElements model association identifies all of the Flow Elements (e.g., Events, Activities, and Gateways) that are within the boundaries of the Group.”
