XTCE11 — proper reference formed weak

    the documentation on how a proper reference is formed is weak. As best as I can tell, the text quoted below is the ONLY place the "Unix-style" reference is mentioned in the entire XTCE document under parameterRefType. This annotation only shows up sporadically parameterRefTYpe is often extended or is an attribute.
