Summary:
Duration is always non-negative value, so re-write text
“A Duration is a non-negative value, often an integer expression . -
Reported: UML 2.4.1 — Wed, 26 Sep 2012 04:00 GMT

Disposition: Resolved — UML 2.5

Disposition Summary:
Subclause 8.4.4 is on notation, so a statement on what whether a Duration is, in general, non-negative is not really
appropriate there. Indeed, under 8.4.3 Semantics, it says that “UML does not define any specific type or units” that
a Duration value may have, so whether a Duration is “non-negative” is not actually generally meaningful. The text
in 8.4.4 is simply saying that a Duration is, notationally, “often a non-negative integer expression”, and, in this case,
“non-negative” is meaningful, since it specifically modifies the phrase “integer expression”.
