Issue clarified by UML 2.5 and made irrelevent by SysML 1.6
The original issue of this was with the formal gate on the sequence diagram Figure D.10.
SysML 1.5 has Figure D.10 with a formal gate with an async StartVehicle message. This is supported by UML 17.2.4.6 "A formal Gate is just a point on the inside of the frame, as the end of a message. They may have an explicit name (see Figure 17.4)."
SysML 1.6 has deleted the message originating from the diagram frame in general. This also solves this issue with no change.
