Key: SYSML11-40

Legacy Issue Number: 11091
-
Status: closed
-
Source: INCOSE ( Sanford Friedenthal)
-
Summary:
Add clarification and precision to the specification by replacing the natural language constraints with OCL constraints. This is a general issue that applies to constraints on stereotypes within Chapters 7-17 of the specification. It is appropriate to address this on a priority basis to selected constraints that are ambigous due to their natural language representation, and where OCL can reduce their ambiguity.

Disposition: Resolved — SysML 1.1
-
Disposition Summary:
In keeping with the request to “address this on a priority basis to selected
constraints,” SysML 1.2 is beginning to include its first limited set of OCL
constraints to supplement the current natural language statements of constraints.
In addition to an OCL constraint included in the resoluton of Issue 12129 in
Chapter 10 Constraint Blocks, this resoluton includes an OCL constraint for one
more existing constraint.
Since continuing to supply OCL versions of constraints will be an ongoing effort
over multiple revisions of SysML, new versions of this issue should continue to
be raised for consideration by future RTF’s. This issue number, however, is
being resolved so that it can provide a place to provide the statement of a
specific OCL constraint not included in any other issue resolution. -
