SPECTRA — SV1 Remaining cases of "over specification" must be removed

    SPECTRA feedback 30-04-2025
Acting as a filter/annotation language for existing SysML models, SPECTRA must avoid "over specification" ("over tagging") which describes a situation where the information required by the Core Assertions is already available in the SysML model and should not be required to be entered as tags to SPECTRA stereotypes.
Specific example is tag "supplier name" in Supply Chain Element. It may be beneficial to focus on the "supplies" relation that is already defined for stereotype Supplier. While the supplier name was introduced to accommodate existing models where there is no explicit supplier as a model element, the reviewer argues that the modeller must be forced to create a Supplier element, and use the supplies relation.
This is related to overtaking, since the name of the supplier is in the Supplier element.
