Summary:
An abstract stereotype ‘SupportingInformation’ is used to cover ContextStatement, Assumption and Justification. This is an odd choice since these 3 elements cannot be connected to the argument by the ‘SupportedBy’ relationship. This is therefore confusing and potentially misleading. Perhaps ‘ContextualInformation’ would be a better phrase (the GSN standard refers to Context, Assumption and Justification elements collectively as ‘contextual elements’
