In 8.11.3.3 and 8.12.7.2, AssociationEnd: plays-range-role, In the derivation expression, ParameterType:explicit-role is not defined anywhere. The intended association is modeled as EntityType:used-in (InvertibleAttribute) in the text and in Figure 14.
Proposed Resolution:
In the derivation expression, REPLACE:
ParameterType:explicit-role
with:
used-in
(Note, however, that used-in is a set.)

Because EntityType::used-in is multivalued, the derivation expression requires an iteration. Remove the derivation and replace it with a Note that explains the derivation.
