Summary:
Currently the figures in the Essence 2.0 Beta 1 specification document are raster graphics directly embedded in the MS Word document. To improve figure quality and legibility, and to aid long-term maintenance of the specification, all figures and diagrams need to be converted to Vector-SVG figures, and included into the specification maintenance archive, besides replacing the figures in the actual document.

Disposition: Resolved — Essence 2.0b2
-
Disposition Summary:
Replace all graphics with SVG images
All figure graphics that are not currently SVG images will be replaced with SVG images, other than in the following annexes:
- Annex C (SPEM Alignment) is not updated with svg images.
- Annex D (ISO Alignment) is not updated with svg images.
In addition: - Figure 9.10 (ActivitySpaceAndActivity::Language elements) in the document was inconsistent with the normative language metamodel adopted from Essence 1.2. The new image for this figure corrects the diagram.
- Figures 9.18 to 9.21 have been re-rendered in black-and-white, consistence with usual practice for model diagrams in a specification document.
- Figure 9.18 is an object diagram that shows two examples of Actions with slots kind = "output". However, Action::kind is of type ActionKind, and the enumeration ActionKind does not include output is a value (see 9.3.4.4). The erroneous slots have been replaced with kind = create.
- Card sample figure (p. 109) has been re-rendered in black and white, and updated according to the card syntax.
