Summary:
The UML diagram Figure 13.1 shows leap second as a subclass of second-of-day.
The text in 13.2 defines it to be an instance of second of day, and the definition of day-of-seconds confirms this. The UML diagram is incorrect.'leap second' may be an intercalary time point that arises from a change in time offset, rather than a second-of-day.
