Summary:
Since Topics are Entities, they can exist in a disabled state. Section 2.2.2.1.1.7 is insufficient to define what can (more importantly, can't) be done with a disabled Topic.
That section defines which operations "may be invoked on it", but more interesting for Topics are the passive uses of these objects as arguments to other operations.
In particular, it should be explicitly stated that a DataReader or Writer that references a disabled Topic (including, for readers, indirectly via ContentFilteredTopic or MultiTopic) cannot be enabled. In these cases, the enable() operation returns RETCODE_PRECONDITION_NOT_MET. -
