Summary:
The specification does not state what should occur if the user attempts to delete a DataReader when it has one or more outstanding loans as a result of a call to DataReader::read, DataReader::take, or a variant thereof.
Proposed Resolution:
State that Subscriber::delete_datareader should fail and return PRECONDITION_NOT_MET in that case.Proposed Revised Text:
In section 2.1.2.5.2.6 delete_datareader, there is a paragraph (beginning "The deletion of a DataReader is not allowedÂ…") that describes the operation's behavior in the event that some conditions created from the reader have not been deleted. Following that paragraph a new paragraph should be added:
The deletion of a DataReader is not allowed if it has any outstanding loans as a result of a call to read, take, or one of the variants thereof. If the delete_datareader operation is called on a DataReader with one or more outstanding loans, it will return PRECONDITION_NOT_MET -
