Summary:
The get_conditions and wait methods of the WaitSet pass the Conditions in which the user is interested back to the application as out-parameters. This causes unnecessary memory allocations each time a WaitSet is used for that purpose.
Resolution:
Make the WaitSet result sequence of the inout type for performance reasons, especially because the application is aware of the desired (worst-case) length. The user is then able to recycle these sequences every time.
Revised Text:
In the table in section 2.1.2.1.6 change the parameter types of the Condition Sequence from out to inout. Explain in sections 2.1.2.1.6.3 and 2.1.2.1.6.4 that the user can either pre-allocate the sequence and force the middleware to overwrite its contents, or to not to pre-allocate and let the middleware allocate the memory for him.
Also change the IDL definition for both methods in section 2.2.3. -
