DDS — Use of Topic versus TopicDescription

    Ref-43 TopicDescription _name_attribute

    In section 2.1.2.3 TopicDescription has an attribute called "name.
    However the IDL is inconsistent. TopicDescription does not have the
    "name" attribute, instead Topic has the name and the other derived
    classes (ContentFilteredTopic and MultiTopic) do not have a name

    In the IDL specification the name specified by the TopicDescription
    but instead only by the Topic.

    It makes sense to have the name on TopicDescription as in the PIM such
    that all kinds of TopicDescription entities can be locally accessed by
    means of "lookup_topic".

    **PROPOSAL**

    Fix the PIM IDL file to match the PSM.
