Summary:
Summary: The POA offers the SINGLE_THREAD_MODEL policy. It guarantees that, for
a POA with this policy, all invocations are serialized. (The only other
threading policy, ORB_CTRL_MODEL, allows to ORB to thread invocations as
it sees fit.)There is a pragmatic problem here: SINGLE_THREAD_MODEL guarantees
serialization for only a particular POA. This means that if I have a server
that uses three POAs, all of which use SINGLE_THREAD_MODEL, invocations on
any one of these POAs are serialized but invocations on different POAs
can be dispatched in parallel. -
