Summary: Looking at ptc-98-08-07, I find the discussion of minor codes hopelessly
underspecified. The text in 3.17.2 doesn"t actually mention the OMG
space explicitly; it should. Also, the definition of the partitioning
of the minor code, at the beginning of 3.17, is hopelessly vague – what
``high order bits"" are used, what ``low order bits""? What"s the
policy for obtaining a new vendor registration? -
