CORBA23 — page 3-47: Identifiers

  • Key: CORBA23-11
  • Legacy Issue Number: 1893
  • Status: closed
  • Source: Anonymous
  • Summary:

    Summary: Page 3-47:

"Identifiers for the following kinds of definitions are scoped:

    • types
    • constants
    • enumeration values
    • exceptions
    • interfaces
    • attributes
    • operations"

I"m not sure I understand the purpose of this list. In particular, what
is meant by "are scoped"? Scoped by what? I think the intent was to state
that if any of these identifiers appears within a nested scope, it needs
to be unique only within that nested scope?
