Summary:
maybe I’m wrong, but it seems there’s a logic error in the PDF document mentioned above:
- Figure 12.36 shows a Choreography starting with communication from A (initiator) to B. Depending on message content based decision next message will be sent from A to B (decision YES) or from A to C (decision NO).
- Comparing that to the corresponding Collaboration in Figure 12.37 I detected a mismatch, within Pool A the gateway acts inverse: If decision YES message M3 will be sent from A to C, and if decision NO message will be sent from A to B
- Looks like content of pool A should be adapted (decision YES should result in message from A to B)
Furthermore there seems to be an offset to Figure indices listed in some chapters vs. the real Figure numbers:
- Check chapter 10.2.8 (Loop Characteristics in Process Diagrams)
- Scroll to page 169 (PDF document page 199), chapter Standard Loop Characteristics
- You will find a link to Figure 10.42 and 10.43 (see Figure 10.42 and Figure 10.43)
- Corresponding figures instead are 10.43 and 10.44
- This offset stuff starts somewhere before in the document, maybe an additional picture has been added
