Summary:
Reported by hudoneric, Jun 25, 2009
On p. 199 of the specification The figure 10-40 Defines 4 types of global
tasks: User, Manual, Script, BusinessRule. The paragraph "Types of Global Task" on p. 199 says that the list of task
types is the same for globals task and standard tasks. When I look at the xml schema (Semantic.xsd) only User, Manual, Script,
BusinessRule are defined.I wonder which one is true, the text or the schema? Also I wonder why the
global task redefines the same attributes as standard tasks instead of
referencing them. -

Disposition: Resolved — BPMN 2.0

Disposition Summary:
The list of Global Tasks is correctly defined in the metamodel and the XSD schema, not all tasks types are allowed as global tasks.
Replace the following paragraphs in "Types of Global Tasks":- This is true for both Global Tasks and standard Tasks, where the list of Task types is the same for both.
- The behavior, attributes, and model associations defined in that section also apply to the types of Global Tasks.
with the following text: - The types of Global Tasks are only a subset of standard Tasks types. Only GlobalUserTask, GlobalManualTask, GlobalScriptTask and GlobalBusinessRuleTask are
defined in BPMN. - The behavior, attributes, and model associations defined for each type of task in that section apply to the corresponding types of Global Tasks.
