BPMN2 — INCORRECT/IMCOMPLETE REFERENCES AND DEFINITIONS IN GLOSSARY

Glossary in Annex C contains a number of definitions of, and references to, workflow patterns that were incorrect in version 1.0 of the spec and are still incorrect in version 2.0.

For example, see the following definitions:
Deferred Choice references workflow pattern #17 ­ actually Deferred Choice is pattern #16;
Discriminator references workflow pattern #8 ­ actually Discriminator is pattern #9;
Implicit Termination references workflow pattern #12 ­ actually Implicit Termination is pattern #11

Also the URL for these workflow patterns has changed (All pages from 'tmitwww.tm.tue.nl' have moved to the server 'is.ieis.tue.nl' - although the latest patterns can actually be found at http://www.workflowpatterns.com/).

May I suggest that the entire contents of the Glossary are reviewed against the latest set of workpatterns (http://www.workflowpatterns.com/documentation/documents/BPM-06-22.pdf) and ensure that the correct pattern numbers are used. I would also like the glossary to be extended to cover the extra workflow patterns that have been defined beyond van der Aalst's original 20 (or 21 if you include pattern #9a)and that can can be implemented using BPMN notation - (www.workflowpatterns.com/documentation/documents/BPM-06-17.pdf might give useful guidance for this (even though it relates to BPMN v1)).

The resolution of issue 14778 will resolve this issue
