BPMN2 — Add business-level presentation attributes to user task: subject and description

  • Key: BPMN2-180
  • Legacy Issue Number: 14736
  • Status: closed
  • Source: International Business Machines ( Mr. Matthias Kloppmann)
  • Summary:

    From the human interactions example:
Need to add business-level presentation attributes known from BPEL4People, namely subject and description. This should include the ability to specify presentation parameters - needs discussion. Without these, the user task capability is not rich enough for serious direct execution, but will always require mapping to and enrichment in BPEL4People.

  • Reported: BPMN 2.0b1 — Fri, 20 Nov 2009 05:00 GMT
  • Disposition: Resolved — BPMN 2.0
  • Disposition Summary:

Rather than copying the various BPEL4People elements to the BPMN spec, we should modify the BPMN spec as follows:
Text in section "10.2.4 Human Interactions"
    Current:
The User Task inherits the attributes and model associations of Activity (see Table 10.3). Table 10.13 presents the additional attributes and model associations of the
    User Task.
    New:
The User Task inherits the attributes and model associations of Activity (see Table 10.3). Table 10.13 presents the additional attributes and model associations of the
User Task. If implementations extend these attributes (e.g., to introduce subjects or descriptions with presentation parameters), they SHOULD use attributes defined
    by the OASIS WS-HumanTask specification.
    Disposition: Resolved
