Issues Descriptions

Section 10.2.3

  • Key: BPMN2-111
  • Legacy Issue Number: 14647
  • Status: closed
  • Source: SAP SE ( Rouven Day)
  • Summary:

    Section(s) of Spec: 10.2.3

    Sub-Team responsible:

    Type: Editorial

    Description of issue:
Section 10.2.3 says "A User Task is a typical "workflow" Task where a human performer performs the Task with the assistance of a
software application and is scheduled through a task list manager of some sort."
The second part of this sentence is not correct. It could not be that every User Task has to be scheduled through a task list manager. E.g. there are User Tasks where the user has to go to a system, open a transaction and enters some data. On complete and event is fired that tells the process engine that the task is completed.
I consider this kind of task as a User Task as well, even though it is not scheduled through a task list manager.

Proposal: Can we relax or remove the second part of the sentence?

managed by a software component (called task manager) and is typically executed in the context of a process."
    instead of

    list manager of some sort."
