UTP11 — Section: 6.3.3 Test Data, CodingRule

  • Key: UTP11-35
  • Legacy Issue Number: 9799
  • Status: closed
  • Source: No Magic, Inc. ( Jolita Mackiene)
  • Summary:

UML Testing Profile defines that “the notation for coding rule is identical to a comment in UML”. Can coding rule be displayed as stereotype attribute (tagged value) using notation given by UML 2.0 specification?

  • Reported: UTP 1.0 — Mon, 29 May 2006 04:00 GMT
  • Disposition: Resolved — UTP 1.1
  • Disposition Summary:

Since the UTP spec says (Section 6.3.3 Coding Rule, subsection Description) “Coding Rules are defined outside of the Testing Profile and referred to within Testing Profile specifications.” the coding rule can surely be displayed as ordinary tagged value of the Stereotype. The string does not define the coding rule itself, but rather an identifier for a coding rule that is part of the test execution system.
We propose to change this issue with no change.
