Information and Data Assets. “Asset as applied to Security views, an abstract element that indicates the types of elements that can be considered as a subject for security analysis.” Limited in the model to making these assets “secure”.
Need to add Knowledge as a Strategic Asset. Key element in doing Portfolio Management. Much value of the Enterprise can be tied to the Knowledge that it owns or controls. Some capabilities deal with acquisition, utilization, selling, and protection of Knowledge.
Assets need to be expanded for use beyond just the Security Domain
