SYSML2_ — Incorrect graphical notation for parameters with nested items in example "Flow as Node"

  • Key: SYSML2_-351
  • Status: closed
  • Source: sodiuswillert.com ( Mr. Eran Gery)
  • Summary:

In subclause 7.13.1, Table 11, example "Flow as Node" the subitems of parameters item1 and item2 of the flow between action1 and action2 are depicted in the elaborated flow node with parameter symbols subItem1, subItem2, subItem3. The current graphical notation is as follows:

Currently parameter nodes can only show nested parameters and direction. They need to be able to show owned features such as item usages.

  • Disposition Summary:

Correct graphical notation for parameters with nested items in example "Flow as Node"

As described and discussed in the issue, the nested items (subItem1, subItem2 and subItem3) of the :Item1 item on the flow, should not be depicted as nested parameters, but rather as nested items inside the referenced parameters item1 and item2 that constitute the ends of the flow between action1 and action2. This can be specified in graphical notation with existing interconnection notation.
