SYSML12 — Participant Property constraint #6 not correct.

  • Key: SYSML12-19
  • Legacy Issue Number: 13666
  • Status: closed
  • Source: NIST ( Mr. Conrad Bock)
  • Summary:

Participant Property constraint #6 not correct. In Blocks, UML Extensions, Stereotypes, Participant Property, remove constraint 6 (the one resrtricting the upper multiplicity of the end property). End properties of associations can have any multiplicity. See example in Figures 8.13 and 8.14, where the deliveredTo end of a participant property has multiplicity 1..*.

  • Reported: SysML 1.1 — Mon, 9 Mar 2009 04:00 GMT
  • Disposition: Resolved — SysML 1.2
  • Disposition Summary:

The constraint is misstated. The ParticipantProperty is a property of the
association block, and it is this property to which the multiplicity constraint should
apply. Each link of the association block has a value of the participant property
which refers to one instance contained in the referenced end of the association.
