Legacy Issue Number: 17164
-
Status: closed
-
Source: NIST ( Mr. Conrad Bock)

Summary:
Compatiblity::isRequired = true is redundant with Generalization (both declare all instances of one type are instances of another), why is isRequired needed? It would be simpler to enable Generalization to be used without modifying it's end types (Pete claims it doesn't even currently require such modification, even though most implementation modify the specialized type).
