Summary:
1. "Essential Characterisitc" is not defined as "Necessary and Sufficient Characterisitc" is it is considered to be in ISO 1087 from which it is adopted. 2. "Essential Characteristic" is not defined as it is in ISO 1087 to be the sum of all the Delimiting Characterisitcs up the chain of 'more general concepts' to the top.
