The "The potential ambiguity with the modulo operator is solved thanks to the type of the first argument, which is a string in our case." text implies that either QVTo or OCL provides a modulo operator. OCL <= 2.4 does not. QVTo's grammar defines '% as a mult_op, perhaps just as the format shorthand, there are certainly no defined semantics such as what data types are applicable, how zero is accommodated.
(Eclipse QVTo does not provide any % operator.)
Suggest, delete the confusing sentence.
