IEFRA2 — Unclear Sentence Structure

  • Key: IEFRA2-130
  • Status: open
  • Source: Advanced Systems Management Group Ltd. ( Mr. Michael Abramson)
  • Summary:

"19.1.2 Unclear Sentence Structure: ""Where workloads are executed:""
Sentence: ""Organizations that have moved workloads to the cloud have systems, applications, and data spread across multiple networks, infrastructures, and locations. They are losing insight into: Where workloads are executed: 1. Who is accessing their workloads, applications, and data, 2. What devices (e.g., smartphones, tablets, and laptops) access workload, systems and data, and 3. How are data assets being used and shared?""
Suggest: The phrase ""Where workloads are executed:"" is not a complete sentence and feels disconnected from the list that follows.
The colon is unnecessary because the bullet points do not expand on “Where workloads are executed.” Instead, they describe visibility issues related to cloud security.
“Organizations that have moved workloads to the cloud face challenges in maintaining visibility over their systems, applications, and data across multiple networks, infrastructures, and locations. Specifically, they often lack insight into:
    ○ Where workloads are executed,
    ○ Who is accessing their workloads, applications, and data,
    ○ What devices (e.g., smartphones, tablets, and laptops) are used to access workloads, systems, and data, and how data assets are being used and shared."""
