Summary:
The definition given for 'IndependentPartyʺ (credtied as being adapted from Property nd Casualty) does not refer to the same concept as that originally intended here. The definition is ʺAn independent party is an independent person, organization or group that can enter into a contract or other legal proceeding.ʺ which frames independent parties as being those capable of entering into contracts, where in FIBO that concept is carried by the class ʺContractuallyCapableEntityʺ and the concept intended as IndependentParty (ʺInvolved Partyʺ in the FIBO EA models), is intended to cover any entity which may own shares or participate in other ownership activities. Being contractually capable is not a pre-requisite for that.
Replace the P&C defition with one sourced from P&C or elsewhere which describes the concept intended here.
