FIBOBE_ — Publisher should be a kind of Party, which is not reflected in the model

  • Key: FIBOBE_-4
  • Status: closed
  • Source: Thematix Partners LLC ( Mrs. Elisa F. Kendall)
  • Summary:

The current definition of publisher states that a publisher is "a party that makes some information available to the world at large", which may include a blogger, a publication such as the Financial Times, a government that publishes information about economic indicators, or a data vendor such as Bloomberg.

The Business Dictionary's definition of publisher is "Individual or corporation responsible for the printing and distribution of digital or printed publications." See
http://www.businessdictionary.com/definition/publisher.html, which could be adapted for FIBO as " a party responsible for the printing and distribution of digital or printed publications", but the operative word, whether or not we revise the definition is "party".
The model does not reflect this, and isn't aligned with the stated definition.
