Summary:
At the moment all we have is &fibo-be-corp-corp;hasLegalFormAbbreviation of type text.
The legal form should be a class in its own right with abbreviation as one of many properties (or a label), including the jurisidiction/country where it's used and some annotations describing the legal aspects. It should also be related to some of the standard classes such as IncorporatedCompany. -

Disposition Summary:
Need better modeling of legal forms
This issue describes the fact that currently there are a set of enumerated data types defining various legal forms that corporations can take.
The FTF agrees that this needs to be addressed, but doing so requires the addition of jurisdiction-specific classes, as the various legal forms are jurisdiction-specific. A precedent was established for creating sub-modules by jurisdiction in the FBC RFC which was recently adopted. In order to address this particular issue, new jurisdiction-specific ontologies need to be created and added in new modules. These new ontologies also depend on content from LCC, and on additional subdivision codes not yet available in LCC. As a consequence, the FTF has determined that this issue should be deferred to RTF.
