EXPRESS11 — Schema does not have a URI

  • Summary:

    For XMI exchange of an EXPRESS model using the EXPRESS Metamodel, the master container, equivalent to UML:model is a Schema. But Schema has no URI attribute to label the model as a resource. ISO 10303-11 suggests that the ‘version’ attribute be used to carry an ASN.1 identifier for the Schema, but says nothing about URIs. It may be appropriate to use ‘version’ to contain the URI, but it is not clear that MOF supports that interpretation.
