    The following additional pre-condition should be added to this service, "The joined federate is not in either the "Acquiring" or the "Willing to Acquire" state for this instance attribute." This additional pre-condition is already a requirement as expressed by the guard on the Request Attribute Ownership Assumption transition in the statechart in Figure 15. It should be present in the pre-conditions for clarity and consistency.
