DDS15 — DDS Entities should have a name

  • Summary:

    DDS Entities (DomainParticipant, Publisher, Subscriber, DataReader and DataWriter) have associated GUID but the current API does not provide any way of associating them a symbolic name, such as "com.acme.mycoolapp.DomainParticipantFoo"

    The DDS PIM should be extended to support the explicit setting of entity names. When not set explicitly, vendors should be free to pick meaningful names.
