BPMN11 — Incorrect word used - Sequential instead of Parallel

  • Key: BPMN11-97
  • Status: open
  • Source: Queensland Department of Health ( Adam Duff)
  • Summary:

In Table 7.2 – BPMN Extended Modeling Elements, item 'Multiple Instances' the description is as follows: "The attributes of Tasks and Sub-Processes will determine if they are repeated or performed once (see page 190). A set of three horizontal lines will be displayed at the bottom-center of the activity for sequential Multi-Instances (see upper figure to the right). A set of three vertical lines will be displayed at the bottom-center of the activity for sequential Multi-Instances (see lower figure to the right)."

The description describes both figures as being sequential, when actually one is sequential and one is parallel. The figure to the lower right actually refers to a parallel multi-instance, not a sequential one. The last sentence of the description should read: "A set of three vertical lines will be displayed at the bottom-center of the activity for parallel Multi-Instances (see lower figure to the right)."
